Second time around for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II

I rushed out of work tonight to see Crazy, Stupid, Love. Two hours before it was to begin. SOLD OUT. Shit. Checked the times of other things and Harry called my name. It was already starting. So I bought 2 tickets. One for Harry which I saw tonight and one for Crazy that I'll see first thing tomorrow. I can't say I'm one bit disappointed either. I caught one or two important things I didn't the first time. There's so much. And it's one of those movies that I could sit and watch again as soon as it ends. I'm very happy about Crazy, Stupid, Love being sold out. I like the movie industry to be thriving. I want everyone to come and and see my movie. So I'm supporting everyone else's. I'm also looking forward to The Ides of March with Ryan Gosling also and George Clooney and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. If Phillip is in it, it's going to be good. He is pretty much always in good movies.

I read today that Harry has made 900 million world wide so far. cha ching.......

I had so awesome pictures to add to this blog but I screwed em up. I'll taken them again tomorrow and hope for better results. These blogs seem rather plain without pics....

Finally. Beat the heat and saw 'Friends with Benefits'

I had every intention of running to see Friends with Benefits on Friday as soon as it opened. I was side-tracked and missed my timing after that. But I just returned from seeing it today and I have to say my first impulse was right on. I truly loved it. Not 'Harry Potter' loved it, of course, but to be the movie I see only a week later, it made me very happy. I think Mila and Justin had incredible chemistry. The settings were beautiful to me; NYC and L.A. I love knowing each place they filmed. The dialogue was great. The theater was totally filled and that's a good sign also. I meant to get to Captain America also, but didn't make it yet. I'd say I'm slipping lately, but that's not really true because I still see most movies before they even come out. And I spent yesterday, staying out of the heat and writing a script that will thrill the world. I hope!!!!

If you're looking for a romantic movie that's lots of fun go see 'Friends with Benefits' if you haven't already. It's great!

Daniel Ratcliff in person again

After the fabulous 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' Part 2, I didn't want the
adventure to end. Who does? I went down to the Theater District and checked out
the action for 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.'

The play is on my agenda in the coming couple of weeks, if not sooner, but I
did have Daniel Radcliffe sign my CD from the play and got pictures of him.
Since I am not an ace at handing my CD over, balancing my camera, and savoring
the time, all at once, the pictures here are the ones The G (Geoffrey Dicker from according2G.com)
so aptly took. He's so much better at it than me, but I'll catch up. He is a fantastic instructor....
And my CD...Daniel signed his name on his neck. John Laroquette signed in the upper right
hand corner. Both actors are incredible, friendly, and fun......If you get a chance....Run to see this
play as well as the last Harry movie.....Entertainment Galore!!!!

Rave without a spoiler for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2

I'm not going to give away anything about the movie. What I can share without giving away any details is: It's the best movie I've ever seen in my life. And that's a lotta movies. It seems that the 3D was better, by far, than it has ever been. The theater didn't charge the extra 3D fee either. ???? Have no idea what that was about. We had the perfect IMAX seat. And the audience....you could hear a pin drop throughout. No one talking. No one kicking the back of the seat. No one getting up and down or looking at their phone. Perfect viewing. Perfect movie. A man waiting in the long, long, long line when we came out said to me, "How was it?" I gave him a thumbs up with vigor. My face was still very wet from tears. He said, "Did you  cry?" I'm a wuss. I cry in movies. Happy cry and sad cry so I'm still not giving you any clues. Go see it as fast as you can and then see it again and again.

Today is the DAY...Harry Potter opens......HOOOOOORAHHHHHHHHH

It's here. It's here. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. Today. It has been showing across the street in screenings to the press all week, but today it is open for all.
And since I'm not press and am a part of the all, I am atingle.

The other night I did see a screening and right next to it the Harry Potter screening was
going on. Torture. Yet, I see all of the Harry Potter on IMAX with the G and would not
want to mess with the grand experience we always have. That's G in http://according2g.com/. Check out his website if you haven't already. It is awesome!

I was looking through the Potter items at Borders at the Time Warner Center last night.
I already have most of it, but they did have some very fun Legos I haven't seen before.
I think I'll have to get those. Alex and Aimee will be old enough to play with them with me tee hee, in a few years. So fantastic to have new little people that like to play. Everyone
outgrows me sooner or later. What's that about????

Anywho, our day is finally here. Let's celebrate and enjoy!  :)

Countdown for 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows II" and the things I've learned that could be connected to the countdown

Just got back to town after being gone for a week and went to see Horrible Bosses. It is funny, but I liked Bad Teacher better.

Now I'm afraid I'll have trouble getting my Imax ticket for Harry on
Friday. Could be sold out. Yikes. If so, I'll settle for seeing it on the regular screen and then go back and see it on Imax. We had 3 of the movies on while I was gone and watched them and I'm going to try to
watch some of Goblet of Fire tonight as long as I can make it.

I bought the issue of Vogue that's on the stands and read it in the airport last night. Emma Watson is on the cover with a feature story.
Thus, the title of this blog. What I learned from reading the article was that Emma read Patti Smith's book, Just Kids and found it to be inspiring and much more. So, of course, sitting there in the airport, having just finished the article, I have to whispernet that book to my Kindle. Dangerous! I did not know that Patti Smith had written a book.
I did not know that she used to live with Robert Mapplethorpe, and that she has written a very enjoyable book. I haven't finished it, so I'm sure there's much more to learn from it.

From the Vogue article I also learned that Emma went to Brown University. She found solice by talking about stardom with James Franco who is also going to school in Rhode Island and Yale and acting, writing books, making art, and hosting ballet events here in NYC. That guy does get around. Tomorrow I'll write about meeting him, share the pics and tell you about his book that came out last year.....

Not one bit disappointed....."Transformers:Dark of the Moon and Shirley's "I'm Over all That"

I'm very happy to share that I loved "Transformers:Dark of the Moon and will see it again and again. My son-in-law laughed at me when I told him that I wanted to go out and buy some transformers and play with them. Actually, when Alexander gets bigger, I can do that....but since he'll be one year old next week, I'll have to wait. For now it's toys you can chew on. I can't believe my daughter and son-in-law have never seen a Transformers movie. Whaaattttt???? Crazy.  But since I'm at their home for the week to celebrate the birthday of Alex, we'll be going to see "Cars 2." Hooray.....I'll have another movie to report.

And as books go: I read almost all of Shirley MacLaine's "I'm Over All That." on the plane yesterday. It was soooooooo good. I love all Shirley books. I actually got to meet her for a minute again when she signed this book. I brought one to my daughter cause she loves her too.  It is excellent. I learn a lot from her writings.
